VIRGINIA MILKEY of Brattleboro, Windham County, Democrat, was born in Brattleboro.

Occupation: Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Windham County, director.

Education: Elementary schools in Brattleboro; graduated from Brattleboro Union High School, Brattleboro, Vermont and Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont (B.A., 1972).

Member of: VT National Senior Services Corps Directors Association; Vermont, New England (Vermont delegate) and National Associations of RSVP Directors; Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, corporator; Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center, co-founder and board member; Representative to Brattleboro Town Meeting; Alliance for Building Community, board member; National Conference of Insurance Legislators, executive, workers comp, health care and state/federal relations committees; Brattleboro Agriculture Advisory Committee; Recipient, 1995 Vermont Chiropractic Centennial Service Award; Brattleboro Union High School Alumni Association; former member of Windham Solid Waste Management District Recycling Commission and Vermont State Nuclear Advisory Panel; Marlboro Morris and Sword, dancer and musician; “Mimosa” a cappella group. She teaches international folk dancing and is a volunteer for the United Way of Windham County.

Member of the House: 1991-92, 1993-94, 1995-96, 1997-98, 1999-2000, 2001-2002, 2003-2004.
