Tom believes his plan to foster financial clarity will end the silos of confusion which are costing millions.

Tom started his accounting career as and Auditor with Price Waterhouse Coopers in 2 major US cities and returned to Vermont in 2002 taking a job with Pieciak and Company and to raise his 4 kids with his wife Leslie in his hometown of Bellows Falls. He later went to work for a client and Communtiy Action Agency, SEVCA serving Windham and Windsor Counties.Tom believes having direct experience in a variety of industries, an entrepreneur, a licensed teacher, foster parent, salesman, and local government experience (Rockingham Selectboard) will be required to solve Vermont's complex financial problems.

Statement

"I am a Rockingham CPA and Selectboard member with a deep understanding of what needs to be addressed in Montpelier to ensure Vermont's financial stability. I am running for 3 reasons.

1. My full commitment to serve Vermont by protecting and preserving financial stability.

2. It is time we had a Certified Public Accountant, much like a Chief Financial Officer, in this very important office, given the state's financial complexity, to solve and prevent problems, not just report them. I am the only CPA in the race.

3. My participation on Rockingham's Selectboard through our financial recovery and my ability to increase FINANCIAL COMMUNICATION. From State Street to School St to Main St, this confusion is costing the state millions. The Auditor's office has the unique opportunity to foster new clarity and efficiency around municipal and other complex financial issues facing the state.

"Mr. Salmon's accounting and auditing experience has been a large asset to a municipality that is in the process of overcoming an extremely poor financial audit."John B. Schempf , Municipal Manager.

Thank you for your vote on November 7. I will uphold the highest level of commitment, integrity and professionalism."
