"During my three terms in the state legislature, I have gained valuable experience. Serving on the House Commerce and Agriculture Committees has given me an opportunity to study diverse and important issues.
I continue to serve on the Cultural Heritage Tourism Advisory Council.
One of my goals is the creation of a health care system that will give all Vermonters access to high-quaility, affordable health care and to reasonably priced pharmaceutical drugs...this to be delivered in the most cost-effective way possible. As chair of the Healthcare Working Group in the Vermont House, I worked collaboratively to explore that goal.
This past biennium, I had the honor of being elected Assistant Leader of the Democratic caucus by my peers.This responsibility has contributed to my experience and ability to work closely with others."
