Assistant Judge
My name is Mary Ann Clarkson
I have represented you as Assistant Judge for the last four years
as Windham County administrator in family court and superior court.
You may have seen me sitting beside the law judge and giving my input in cases involving child custody, divorce and parental rights. It's my job to help decide about facts and truth.
Before being a County Judge I worked for 35 years as a teacher, a special education director and a principal. Besides being trained in municipal budgeting I have always been an advocate for children and families.
People said I have high standards and am hard working, truthful and fair. I brought those qualities to Court.
During my tenure as Assistant Judge I was given extensive training in traffic law and now I am the judge in traffic court in Brattleboro and Newfane.
